My Daily Energy Review
"Energy flows where attention goes."
Most people are thinking time management when the key should be energy management. While time is a finite resource, energy comes from four main wellsprings.
Physical
Health, sleep, diet, movement.
Mental
Focus, clarity, cognitive capacity.
Emotional
Feelings, relationships, resilience.
Spiritual
Purpose, values, deeper meaning.
Taking Stock of Your Energy
Use the log below to do a stock-take of your daily activities. Managing your energy vs your time could result in creating more time in your schedule, increasing productivity, and improving your fulfillment levels.
Instructions:
- The aim is to identify what types of activities are draining your energy and what types are charging it using the dynamic 1-5 battery scale.
- Log a minimum of 3-5 days of activities to get a clearer picture of your life. Use the "Save / Print" button or "Copy Answers" to track multiple days.
- Evaluate your Sphere of Control (Is this activity within your control to change?).
After logging, ask yourself:
What am I learning about myself? What are the patterns? What needs to change?

Make Time For You
It is recommended to log your energy over 3-5 days. Set a daily reminder to fill out this reflection at the end of your workday.
Consistency is key 🌱
By tracking this over several days, true patterns will emerge that you might otherwise miss on a single busy day.
