The Perfectionist
Being too hard on myself. Being too serious. Not taking time for myself for fun and pure enjoyment. Demanding perfection and not accepting every part of myself.
Improvisation and activities like improv are outstanding for ‘The Perfectionists’. They let them act without getting stuck in their thoughts.
Taking time out of the day for fun and laughter is key.

Healthy Perfectionists integrate to healthy optimists.
What does this mean?
Healthy Integration: The Optimist

Integration does not mean becoming another type. It means expanding your range by accessing the healthiest qualities of that type.

Healthy Perfectionists retain their discernment and high standards while becoming more flexible, spontaneous and joyful. They make room for experimentation, humor and enjoyment, trusting that something does not have to be perfect to be worthwhile.

The Helper
Doing so much for others that I forget to take care of my needs. Becoming too involved in relationships. Becoming demanding when I am not recognized.
Write out what you want for each area of your life and becoming clear on the balance you want to achieve.

Set aside time to treat yourself as you would another person.

Healthy Helpers integrate to healthy artists.
What does this mean?
Healthy Integration: The Artist

Integration does not mean becoming another type. It means expanding your range by accessing the healthiest qualities of that type.

Healthy Helpers turn some of their attention inward. They recognize and express their own feelings, needs, preferences and identity with greater honesty. Their care for others becomes more authentic because it comes from self-awareness rather than a need to be needed.

The Doer
Realizing that your worth is who you are, not what you have accomplished. Sacrificing personal relationships for the sake of a goal.
Relax your focus on success and put your focus on what would fulfill you.

Clarifying your values and what’s really important to you.

Healthy Doers integrate to healthy Friends.
What does this mean?
Healthy Integration: The Friend

Integration does not mean becoming another type. It means expanding your range by accessing the healthiest qualities of that type.

Healthy Doers move beyond image and individual achievement toward commitment, cooperation and shared purpose. They become more transparent, dependable and connected, using their drive to strengthen the team rather than simply prove their value.

The Artist
Over identifying with emotion, especially sad emotion, without moving into action. Resisting change if it is not dramatic. Feeling unworthy. Too much self focus.
Practice changing perspectives and choosing those perspectives that empower you to get what you really want.

Create a positive vision of your future life.

Healthy Artists integrate to healthy Perfectionists.
What does this mean?
Healthy Integration: The Perfectionist

Integration does not mean becoming another type. It means expanding your range by accessing the healthiest qualities of that type.

Healthy Artists remain creative and emotionally perceptive while becoming more objective, principled and disciplined. They translate feelings and imagination into consistent action, focusing on what needs to be done rather than waiting for the right mood.

The Thinker
Over-analyzing and being stubborn. Avoiding people or opportunities that seem to overwhelming. Being extremely private. Not moving into action.
Short meditation during the day to check in with your emotions.

Then move into action! You must act on what you decide.

Healthy Thinkers integrate to healthy Defenders.
What does this mean?
Healthy Integration: The Defender

Integration does not mean becoming another type. It means expanding your range by accessing the healthiest qualities of that type.

Healthy Thinkers bring their insight into the world with confidence, decisiveness and presence. They trust their capabilities, take action, communicate what they need and use their knowledge and strength to empower others.

The Friend
Not trusting yourself or others. Thinking about worst-case scenarios. Wanting to keep knowing more before making a decision. Doubt.
Check in with fear. Practice changing perspectives and choosing those that move you forward in a positive direction.

Positive affirmations work for ‘The Friends’.

Healthy Friends integrate to healthy Peacemakers.
What does this mean?
Healthy Integration: The Peacemaker

Integration does not mean becoming another type. It means expanding your range by accessing the healthiest qualities of that type.

Healthy Friends access greater calm, steadiness and trust. They become less driven by doubt or worst-case scenarios and more present to what is actually happening. From this grounded place, they make decisions with greater confidence and bring reassurance to others.

The Optimist
Thinking that something they don’t have will be better than what they have. Constant trying to avoid pain and not meeting responsibilities. Being distracted from bigger goals. desired wants.
Clarify a mission statement and take small action steps to accomplish it. Meditation is very important for ‘The Optimists’.

Exercise discipline.

Healthy Optimists integrate to healthy Thinkers.
What does this mean?
Healthy Integration: The Thinker

Integration does not mean becoming another type. It means expanding your range by accessing the healthiest qualities of that type.

Healthy Optimists slow down, focus and explore experiences in greater depth. Rather than immediately pursuing the next possibility, they stay with what matters, appreciate what they already have and channel their curiosity into meaningful completion and mastery.

The Defender
Being stubborn. Denying weakness and sensitivity. Fighting any attempt to be controlled and trying to control others. Acting in ways that make success harder to accomplish.
Focus on the gift that you can give to others. Listen closely to others and practice empathy. Resist being stubborn and constantly resisting others.

Healthy Defenders integrate to healthy Helpers.
What does this mean?
Healthy Integration: The Helper

Integration does not mean becoming another type. It means expanding your range by accessing the healthiest qualities of that type.

Healthy Defenders allow strength to include tenderness, empathy and appropriate vulnerability. They listen closely, recognize the needs of others and use their power generously in service of people rather than primarily for protection or control.

The Peacemaker
Ignoring problems and trying to be comfortable always. Not meeting problems when they first start and avoiding conflict at any cost. Not knowing what you really want.
Clarify a mission statement and commit to taking small action steps. Practice asserting yourself and saying ‘no’ to small things. Refuse to be passive-aggressive. Instead be assertive.

Healthy Peacemakers integrate to healthy Doers.

Integration does not mean becoming another type. It means expanding your range by accessing the healthiest qualities of that type.

Healthy Peacemakers connect with their priorities, ambition and personal agency. They name what they want, take focused and visible action, and allow themselves to be effective and recognized without losing their ability to create harmony.
